Residential Kitchen and Master Bathroom Remodel

In the class Kitchen and Bath, we were required to renovate 2 separate existing floor plans. The Smith’s wanted an open concept kitchen with an Ibiza influenced color pallet, for their family of 6. They requested to have a more funky, yet fresh spin on their new modern kitchen. More storage, a larger range, 2 dishwashers instead of 1, a sink centered under the window, 6 seats at the island, and a separate but still inclusive study area for the kids would all need to be configured into the new kitchen design. 

The Jones were an older couple who wanted to remodel their master bathroom so they could comfortably age in place. Mr. Jones did not want his bathroom configuration to differ much; he wasn’t one to embrace change. He also did not want his bathroom to look feminine. Similar materials were used in his bathroom, but in darker hues, to provide a more masucline atmosphere. Mrs. Jones wanted to have a stand-up shower, along with a soaking tub, and a separate vanity for her to apply and store her makeup. The entire renovation could not take away from the total linear footage of the current closet.
